Agenda
‘유치원의 설립 목적’에 대한 법률과 관련하여, 진정 아이들을 위한 유치원 시설에 대한 고찰로 설계를 시작했다.
유치원은 ‘활동 중심’, ‘놀이 중심’의 교육이 이뤄지는 유아의 교육을 위해 설립된 ‘학교’이며, 구체적인 경험을 통해 개념을 습득하게 하는 것이 유치원의 교육 목적임을 염두에 두었다. 이에 따라 ‘끝없이 뛸 수 있는 동선’, ‘자연과의 조화’, ‘개방성’과 ‘공간의 변화’ 네 가지 키워드를 중점적으로 유치원을 설계했다.
Regarding the law on the ‘Purpose of Establishing Kindergartens’ in Korea, the design began with consideration of kindergarten facilities for children.
The kindergarten is a ‘School’ established for the education of young children, where ‘Activity-Oriented’ and ‘Play-Oriented’ education takes place, and it is considered that the educational purpose of the kindergarten is to acquire concepts through concrete experiences. Accordingly, the design focused on four keywords: ‘Space with an Endless Path to Run,’ ‘Space with Nature,’ ‘Openness’ and ‘Changeable Space.’
Design
키워드 1. ‘끝없이 뛸 수 있는 동선’
수직과 수평으로 기다란 매스를 배치하여 아이들이 뛸 수 있는 긴 동선을 구현한다.
1층에선 야외 유원장을 통해, 2층에선 외부 구름 다리를 통해 동선의 끊김 없이 아이들이 활동하게 한다.
키워드 2. ‘자연과의 조화’
개방적인 입면 디자인을 통해 뷰를 확보한다.
유치원의 북쪽에는 일월 저수지와 수목원, 산책로, 놀이터가 있다는 점을 활용한다.
이때 주위 공원과 인접한 남북의 입면은 수평으로 넓은 창을 통해 아이들이 쉽게 자연을 보고 접할 수 있게 한다.
키워드 3. ‘개방성’
커튼월을 이용한 입면 설계를 통해 1층 홀과 야외 유원장을 하나의 공간처럼 이용할 수 있게 한다.
이는 가변적인 공간 구현과도 관련이 있다.
키워드 4. ‘공간의 변화’
건물의 내부 공간 중 일부 공간은 확실한 구분을 두지 않았다.
소음 차단 및 확실한 공간 분리가 필요한 공간 외에는 벽을 두지 않으며, 현관과 홀, 도서관, 급식실의 구분을 모호하게 설계했다.
그렇지만 각 공간의 용도에 대한 아이들의 이해를 돕기 위해, 공간 간의 레벨 차이를 주어 최소한의 공간 분리를 해주었다.
Keyword 1. ‘Space with an Endless Path to Run’
Long mass is arranged vertically and horizontally to implement a long movement in which children can run.
On the first floor, children are allowed to operate through an outdoor play-ground and on the second floor, through an external cloud bridge.
Keyword 2. ‘Space with Nature’
It secures the view through an open elevation design.
It takes advantage that there are Il-Wol Reservoir, Arboretum, Promenade, and Playground in the north of the kindergarten.
At this time, the elevation of the north and south adjacent to the surrounding park allows children to easily see and access nature through a wide horizontal window.
Keyword 3. ‘Openness’
Through the elevation design using curtain walls, the first floor hall and the outdoor play-ground can be used as one space.
This is also related to variable space implementations.
Keyword 4. ‘Changeable Space’
Some of the interior spaces of the building were not clearly distinguished.
It does not have walls other than spaces that require noise blocking and solid space separation, and the distinction between the front door and the hall, library, and cafeteria is designed to be ambiguous.
However, in order to help children understand the purpose of each space, a level difference between spaces was given to minimize space separation.
